We are seeking an entrepreneurial Area Sales Director to continue to build, refine, and execute on this growth stories objectives. The ASD is responsible for the strategic and tactical execution of sales and revenue objectives across a multistate region. Responsibilities
- Effectively lead and develop a distribution sales channel within the defined geography and other direct reports as assigned.
- Work closely with the Executive Team and collaborate with other colleagues in coordinated, successful support of the strategy and business plan.
- Create and lead a successful sales commercialization strategy including the development of a national distributor salesforce network.
- Consistent, effective and documented business planning and performance documentation (to include meetings) within area of responsibility.
- Effective utilization of company resources and collaboration with colleagues within company and the AD personnel network.
- Communicate performance to all sales channels on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis for accountability.
- Collaborate closely with direct reports and Spine sales channel partners to identify new business opportunities, optimize existing relationships, and grow sales to maximize profit contribution and meet sales targets.
- Develop performance objectives for field sales, including forecasts and conduct quarterly Plan and Reviews.
- Provide logistical and technical support in the OR as needed.
- Ensure QMS compliance of personnel to applicable regulatory requirements; including, but not limited to the following: FDA 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485:2016.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred.
- 7+ years experience in spine implant sales required.
- 7+ years implant sales management experience required with documented, consistent success in achieving sales objectives.
- Experience in market development required.
- Strong understanding of the GPO and IDN contracting environment.
- Demonstrated clinical excellence in spine.
- Minimum 50% travel required to support active field work in area.
