Group Sales Manager

We are partnering on a search for a Group Sales Manager who thrives on building relationships, creating momentum, and turning conversations into booked business. You will own group business from first contact through contract execution, working closely with operations, marketing, and leadership to ensure every group feels seamless from arrival to departure.

What You Will Be Doing


You will be responsible for generating, negotiating, and closing group business across a variety of segments including meetings, associations, rallies, and repeat group accounts.


Your days will include a mix of proactive outreach, relationship building, strategic follow up, and onsite engagement.


Key responsibilities include:


• Proactively sourcing new group business while nurturing repeat and referral accounts

• Responding quickly and thoughtfully to RFPs and inbound inquiries

• Conducting outside sales calls, networking, trade show participation, and targeted outreach

• Preparing compelling proposals and contracts that convert interest into bookings

• Owning assigned accounts as the primary point of contact from booking through arrival

• Meeting and exceeding revenue and activity goals

• Maintaining accurate account, booking, and event details within internal systems and BEOs

• Partnering closely with operations, marketing, revenue, and events teams to ensure flawless execution

• Hosting and engaging group contacts onsite to strengthen long term relationships

• Identifying creative opportunities to drive demand during need periods

• Assisting leadership with special projects or strategic initiatives tied to revenue growth

The right background looks like this:


• Two to three years of group or resort sales experience within hospitality

• Proven ability to prospect, negotiate, and close group business

• Strong presentation skills both one on one and in group settings

• Organized, detail focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities

• Confident communicator who collaborates well with cross functional teams

• Comfortable representing the property at industry events and community functions

• Creative thinker who looks for new ways to drive revenue, not just repeat what worked last year

• Proactive, self directed, and comfortable working independently

• Flexible schedule mindset with availability for occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel
