Summary: We are seeking a Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing plumbing and fire protection systems for a variety of commercial, institutional, healthcare, educational, and other building projects. The ideal candidate has experience with building systems design, enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and is comfortable working through all phases of project development. This is not a product design role.

What I'm Looking For


  • Design plumbing and fire protection systems for new construction and renovation projects
  • Develop project specifications and construction documents
  • Perform engineering calculations, system sizing, and equipment selection
  • Prepare plumbing and fire protection layouts using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Conduct field surveys and evaluate existing building conditions
  • Prepare shop drawings and coordinate designs with other engineering disciplines
  • Attend project meetings and collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams
  • Assist with business development efforts, including supporting client presentations and pursuing new project opportunities


What's Required


  • Experience designing plumbing and/or fire protection systems for commercial or institutional buildings
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
  • Working knowledge of NFPA codes, including NFPA 13, 14, 20, 72, 99, and 101
  • Familiarity with the International Building Code (IBC)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus but not required
