Salary Range: $80,000 – $90,000 annually
Position Overview
A Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) is needed to perform, manage, and certify a variety of land and geodetic surveying projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with both field and office staff. Remote work is acceptable for highly qualified candidates, though local applicants are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and certify boundary, topographic, construction, geodetic, and hydrographic surveys.
- Oversee and support field crews while providing technical direction.
- Prepare and review survey maps, legal descriptions, and related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, industry standards, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients.
- Utilize modern surveying tools and technologies, including drone-based data when applicable.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, safety, and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license – required (non-negotiable).
- Proven experience in land, construction, or geodetic surveying.
- Strong command of surveying principles, methods, and instrumentation.
- Proficiency in surveying software and mapping tools.
- Effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Local candidates preferred; remote work possible for qualified applicants.
