Plumbing Designer

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Designer to join a growing engineering team in Orlando, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working on a diverse portfolio of commercial projects while collaborating with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary design teams.

In this role, you will contribute to projects from initial concept through construction, gaining exposure to every phase of the design process. You'll work alongside mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural professionals in a collaborative environment that encourages continuous learning and career growth.


Responsibilities


  • Design plumbing systems for a variety of commercial building projects.
  • Prepare construction documents and detailed plumbing drawings using Revit.
  • Coordinate designs with mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines.
  • Apply applicable building codes, engineering standards, and industry best practices.
  • Assist with projects from conceptual design through construction administration.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers while developing technical knowledge and design expertise.
  • Participate in project meetings and support coordination throughout the design process.


Qualifications


  • Minimum of 5 years of plumbing drafting and design experience in an architectural/engineering (A/E) environment.
  • High level of proficiency with Autodesk Revit.
  • Strong understanding of building codes and general engineering practices.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative environment.
  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field.
  • Technical certifications related to plumbing design or BIM.
