The Ohmega Group Inc. provides engineering consulting services to commercial, government, and institutional markets, both domestic and international.

The Ohmega Group Inc. is currently seeking an experienced and licensed ELECTRICAL Engineer versed in all aspects of design, production, project management, client management and marketing to work with on our vast growing projects on the east coast.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience working with power distribution systems, lighting & controls, fire alarm, voice/data, security, and energy efficient / sustainable design principles. The Ohmega Group Inc. is a great opportunity to work on specialized aviation projects, including airfields, terminals, and other airport facilities. Key Responsibilities:

Work amongst a team of CAD designers to Assist in developing design plans, design variations, conducting or assisting in field, site and office studies, investigations, and research; perform calculations and analyses; and prepare final bid packages.

Use AutoCAD in the preparation of preliminary and final plans, schematics, wire diagrams and drawings of the electrical features of varied facilities and related electrical systems.

Summarize engineering reports, draft and complete preliminary and final designs, drawings, and specifications.

Assist in performing general planning and administrative tasks associated with assigned projects; analyze and develop project scopes, cost estimates and project schedules.

Oversee design of junior staff designers & engineers.

Qualifications:

1.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 5-7 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and demonstrated experience.

2.

Leadership Skills:

Leadership experience managing production staff, recruiting, and training newer employees.

Strong computer skills (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and working knowledge of Revit. Must be able to pass basic CAD Test

Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.

Detail oriented and well-developed organizational skills.

Ability to work with management to set achievable goals based on priorities of development projects and support of internal and external customers.

Ability to work legally in the U.S.

Ability to travel. Must have dependable transportation to attend training, client meetings, tradeshows, and project job sites.

Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Ability to work as part of a team.

3.

Preferred:

Professional Engineering License in Florida or the ability to obtain a license within one (1) year.
