Immediate opening for an full-time electrical engineer/EIT with at least 5 years of facility electrical design experience. Applicant must possess strong communication and organizational skills and be detail oriented. They must also have the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment. Additionally, the electrical engineer/EIT must be able to interpret Florida building codes and NEC and incorporate them into design drawings. This is an in-office position at our Jacksonville Beach location.
Responsibilities include applying their CAD and technical knowledge to design power distribution, lighting, designs with and a thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code, NFPA codes and Energy Codes. A high level of engineering judgment and experience is required to develop the appropriate engineering solutions.

• EIT and eligible to sit for PE exam within a few years.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering
• Extensive production experience in AutoCAD
• 5+ years of experience in the design of buildings and related projects
• Ability to use current electrical design techniques and practices to design power distribution, lighting, life safety systems and fire alarms systems for various types of occupancies while meeting state (and local) building codes.
• Ability to perform branch circuiting and panel schedule calculations.
• Perform lighting energy calculations and manipulate to obtain a required light level (photometrics)
• Ability to review deliverables and find errors in layout or calculations.
• Ability to perform lighting energy compliance calculations and document results.
• Ability to work as a team with other engineers and architects.
• Ability to meet with clients and present design ideas in a professional manner.
