Responsibilities:
Assists with design tasks including computations, analysis and modeling for sanitary and storm sewer systems, water systems, and local road and drainage improvement projects.
Assists with the preparation of reports, construction plans, specifications, supporting documents and permit applications.
Provides construction observation services on roadway, water, sewer, and drainage improvement projects.
Interprets construction plans and documents, computes quantities and verifies measurements and layouts.
Maintains project documentation, daily reports of construction site activity, and project files.
Interacts with the public and officials to respond to inquiries and resolve problems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
At least 3-4 years of civil engineering experience related to site design, land development and land use permitting
Strong organizational, analytical, communication skills and design skills
In-depth knowledge of construction processes plans and specifications, as well as their application and relevance to public works and construction projects.
Ability to foster a creative engineering environment.
Expertise in AutoCAD, Water CAD, Sewer CAD or Civil 3D, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite
