Electrical Engineer

Performance Objectives

• Produce complete, code-compliant power, lighting, and low-voltage designs (one-lines, panel schedules, load calcs, lighting studies) in Revit and AutoCAD so construction documents issue on schedule and pass first-time plan check.
• Run short-circuit, voltage-drop, and Title 24 energy analyses with SKM, AGi32, or ETAP; deliver results that keep projects within budget and energy-code targets.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical, plumbing, and fire-protection teams to eliminate clashes before BIM freeze, cutting RFIs and field changes.
• Perform site surveys and construction-administration visits; resolve existing-condition and installation issues so systems start up without delay.
• Mentor junior designers on calculations, code application, and drawing quality while advancing your own PE or EIT path.
• Support proposals and client presentations with accurate estimates and clear technical narratives that help PBS win the next project.

Environment & Resources

You report to a Principal in our San Dimas headquarters and collaborate daily with multi-discipline teams across six offices. You will use Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, AGi32, Visual, EnergyPro, and Microsoft 365. Principals stay close to every project; professional-development budgets and the ASAP career path (Associate–Senior Associate–Principal) are available from day one.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or equivalent plus 3–7 years designing building electrical systems (power, lighting, low-voltage).
• Proven ability to size equipment, produce calculations, and generate construction documents that meet NEC, Title 24, NFPA, and local codes.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and at least one analysis platform (SKM, ETAP, AGi32).
• Track record of juggling multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and communicating clearly with architects, contractors, and owners.
• EIT or active PE pursuit strongly preferred.
