Senior Electrical Engineer- An established engineering firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its growing team. This role offers the opportunity to lead electrical engineering design for a variety of building projects, while working closely with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building electrical systems, experience managing projects from design through construction, and the ability to provide technical guidance to other engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design for commercial, institutional, educational, healthcare, and other building projects.
• Design and oversee power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
• Prepare and review electrical calculations, drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Perform load calculations, short-circuit studies, voltage drop calculations, and lighting analysis.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical codes, building codes, and industry standards.
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and structural teams.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables.
• Conduct site visits, field investigations, and existing conditions assessments.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and contractor requests for information.
• Provide technical guidance, quality control, and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with proposals, project planning, and business development efforts as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or required, depending on project needs.
• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience in building systems design.
• Strong experience with power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and applicable building codes.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience with electrical design calculations and engineering software.
• Strong understanding of construction documentation and project delivery.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary projects and working directly with clients.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
