The ideal candidate will be a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) with strong experience in electrical engineering design and project leadership. This individual will lead electrical design initiatives, oversee project design teams, and develop high-quality electrical systems, schematics, and layouts. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing multiple projects, coordinating with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal teams, and providing technical leadership throughout all phases of a project.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage electrical engineering design projects of varying sizes and complexities
- Supervise and mentor design professionals and coordinate design team activities
- Develop electrical system designs, schematics, layouts, calculations, specifications, and equipment selections
- Perform existing conditions surveys, due diligence, technical research, and cost estimates
- Coordinate electrical designs with internal disciplines, consultants, vendors, clients, and project stakeholders
- Develop electrical room and system layouts and select appropriate equipment
- Prepare sequences of operations and technical specifications using company standards and templates
- Provide leadership and technical support during construction administration
- Review shop drawings and submittals and perform field observations
- Prepare field observation reports and other project documentation
- Communicate project status, design decisions, and technical issues with project leadership
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers and design professionals
- Serve as a Job Captain when required
Qualifications:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum 6 years of professional engineering/design experience, including at least 2 years in a senior design role
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading engineering projects of varying sizes and complexities
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading engineering teams
- Advanced knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and design principles
- Advanced working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and strict deadlines in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to independently design complex electrical systems with minimal supervision
- Strong technical problem-solving and research skills
- Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to less-experienced engineers and designers
