Mechanical Engineer

- Evaluate the scope of assigned projects and utilize software programs to create mechanical engineering designs, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems
- Create cost-effective system layouts, determine quantities/sizes, and ensure compliance with applicable codes
- Prepare and organize BIM drawings and coordinate with other disciplines throughout all project phases, including schematic design, design development, permitting, and construction documentation
- Perform construction administration tasks, such as site observations, review of shop drawings, and preparation of punch lists
- Define project scope accurately and ensure its reflection in contract documents; proactively manage potential variations in scope to ensure client satisfaction and project progress
- Establish and maintain effective communication and professional relationships with clients, partners, architects, owners, and other design and construction professionals, as well as code officials
- Provide support and guidance to less experienced mechanical designers
- Perform additional assigned duties as necessary
