Electrical Engineer II

Summary- Our team is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer II to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing electrical systems for building projects, performing engineering calculations, developing construction documents, and working closely with project managers, clients, engineers, and designers.

This is a hands-on engineering role with opportunities to take on project responsibilities, work directly with clients, and provide guidance to junior engineers and designers.

What You’ll Do

• Design electrical systems for commercial and building projects, including power distribution, generators, UPS systems, lighting, and life safety systems.
• Perform electrical engineering calculations and lighting layouts.
• Perform coordination studies and arc flash studies.
• Select equipment and complete equipment schedules.
• Develop designs and construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Prepare project specifications and design documentation.
• Review and approve shop drawings and submittals.
• Perform field surveys and prepare field reports.
• Attend client and project meetings.
• Research design options and provide recommendations.
• Coordinate project tasks with Project Managers and supervising engineers.
• Review work completed by Engineer I-level staff and Design Technicians.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Communicate workload, project status, and potential issues to Project Managers and supervisors.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy, organization, and quality throughout the design process.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 2+ years of related electrical engineering experience.
• EIT certification required.
• LEED Green Associate certification preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes and standards.
• Experience with building electrical systems and design.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
