Key Responsibilities

• Lead architectural projects from pre-design through construction, coordinating consultants and internal team members throughout all phases.
• Prepare and oversee production of construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Coordinate and integrate consultant engineering disciplines into a cohesive architectural design.
• Assist in preparation of construction contracts and perform periodic on-site observations to monitor compliance with contract documents.
• Collaborate directly with clients to establish functional, spatial, and aesthetic requirements; develop design concepts, specifications, materials, colors, and equipment selections.
• Coordinate and attend meetings with consultants, planning and zoning officials, building officials, and health/safety authorities.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously at various stages of development.
• Produce and manage documentation required for permitting and construction.
• Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to supporting architectural staff.

Minimum Qualifications

• Licensed Architect in the State of Michigan
• Approximately 8–10 years of professional experience across a variety of project types
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to work collaboratively
• Thorough working knowledge of:
• Building codes and zoning ordinances
• Sustainable design practices
• Contract administration and office procedures
• Core building systems (architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical)
• Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and remain organized in a dynamic environment
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capability
• Proficiency with 3D modeling, presentation, and design software, including:
• Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp, Lumion, BIM platforms
