Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Plumbing Engineer to join our MEP Engineering team. In this role, you will lead the design and coordination of plumbing systems for a wide variety of projects, including healthcare, laboratories, commercial, institutional, educational, and transportation facilities. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in building systems design, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and works effectively with clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams. This is not a product design role.

What I'm Looking For


  • Lead the design of plumbing systems, including domestic water, sanitary waste, storm drainage, natural gas, and specialty piping systems
  • Perform engineering calculations for pipe sizing, fixture unit loads, equipment selection, and system hydraulics
  • Prepare and review construction documents, technical specifications, and design narratives
  • Develop AutoCAD and Revit drawings for plumbing system layouts
  • Coordinate plumbing designs with architects and other engineering disciplines
  • Conduct site surveys and evaluate existing building systems for renovation and retrofit projects
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable local, state, and national plumbing codes and industry standards
  • Provide construction administration support, including field observations, submittal reviews, and responding to RFIs
  • Mentor junior engineers and designers while providing technical guidance and quality reviews
  • Participate in client meetings and help deliver practical engineering solutions while maintaining project schedules and budgets


What's Required


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of experience designing plumbing systems for commercial, healthcare, institutional, educational, or similar facilities
  • Strong knowledge of domestic water, sanitary, storm, natural gas, and specialty plumbing systems
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD
  • Revit experience preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Strong understanding of plumbing codes and industry standards
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project coordination skills
  • Experience with LEED projects, sustainable design, or BIM coordination is a plus
