Project Engineer – Aviation

We are seeking a self-motivated Project Engineer to support our aviation pursuits in the Southeast.  Some travel to project sites or meetings will be required (approximately 30% of the time). A bachelor’s degree in a related field and minimum of 3 years of aviation design experience is preferred. 

Position Responsibilities

As Project Engineer the daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Performs civil design using knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D 

• Works with other engineering disciplines and professionals in the coordination of the project under the direction of a senior engineer/designer 

• Performs field work as directed by a senior engineer/designer  

• Assists with engineering duties on projects of various complexity 

• Assists with collecting data and gathering information to support design decisions 

• Assists in basic interpretation and verifying compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices 

• Constructs models to identify project specifications and meet related needs by performing routing aspects of engineering assignments

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of aviation design experience with detailed knowledge of FAA standards
• Senior positions are available for candidates with 10+ years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in design programs is preferred (AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, Microsoft Excel, etc.)
• Ability to efficiently complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision with a focus on client service
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Willingness and ability to learn new job skills
