Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our MEP Engineering team. In this role, you will lead the mechanical design of HVAC systems for a diverse portfolio of projects, including commercial, healthcare, laboratories, pharmaceutical, federal, institutional, and educational facilities. The ideal candidate is a technical leader with extensive experience managing projects from concept through construction while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. This is not a product design role.

What I'm Looking For
- Lead mechanical and HVAC system design from conceptual planning through construction documents
- Perform HVAC load calculations, equipment sizing, system selection, and energy code compliance reviews
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, and construction documentation
- Provide QA/QC reviews and technical oversight for project deliverables
- Mentor and support junior engineers and designers
- Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Review shop drawings, submittals and respond to RFIs
- Conduct site visits, field observations, punch list reviews, and construction administration activities
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality, budget, and schedule expectations
- Support technical innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team
What's Required
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 10+ years of mechanical/HVAC design experience within the AEC industry
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong understanding of HVAC system design, psychrometrics, and applicable mechanical codes
- Experience designing systems for commercial, healthcare, laboratory, pharmaceutical, federal, or institutional facilities preferred
- LEED accreditation is a plus
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
- Ability to lead project teams and mentor junior staff in a fast-paced environment
