Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our MEP Engineering team. In this role, you will lead the mechanical design of HVAC systems for a diverse portfolio of projects, including commercial, healthcare, laboratories, pharmaceutical, federal, institutional, and educational facilities. The ideal candidate is a technical leader with extensive experience managing projects from concept through construction while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. This is not a product design role.

What I'm Looking For


  • Lead mechanical and HVAC system design from conceptual planning through construction documents
  • Perform HVAC load calculations, equipment sizing, system selection, and energy code compliance reviews
  • Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, and construction documentation
  • Provide QA/QC reviews and technical oversight for project deliverables
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and designers
  • Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Review shop drawings, submittals and respond to RFIs
  • Conduct site visits, field observations, punch list reviews, and construction administration activities
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality, budget, and schedule expectations
  • Support technical innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team


What's Required


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 10+ years of mechanical/HVAC design experience within the AEC industry
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
  • Strong understanding of HVAC system design, psychrometrics, and applicable mechanical codes
  • Experience designing systems for commercial, healthcare, laboratory, pharmaceutical, federal, or institutional facilities preferred
  • LEED accreditation is a plus
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
  • Ability to lead project teams and mentor junior staff in a fast-paced environment
