Position: Mechanical Engineer

Core Focus: Design and analysis of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, and fire protection systems for commercial or institutional buildings.
Key Responsibilities

System Design: Create detailed plans, schematics, and calculations for HVAC and piping systems using Revit and AutoCAD.

Project Coordination: Work with architects and electrical/plumbing teams to integrate systems cleanly into the building structure.

Code Compliance: Ensure all designs follow local building codes, ASHRAE standards, and safety regulations.

Construction Support: Review submittals, answer requests for information (RFIs), and visit job sites to check installation progress.
Requirements and Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (ABET-accredited).

Experience: 3 to 8+ years of relevant building services or MEP design experience.

Software Skills: Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.

Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or path to licensure is often preferred.
