Sales & Events Manager


A new and vibrant hospitality venue just outside of Funkstown, MD is seeking an energetic and driven Sales & Events Manager to spearhead sales efforts, develop community relationships, and create unforgettable event experiences. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a special establishment that is quickly becoming a go-to destination in the region.


About the Role

The Sales & Events Manager will be responsible for leading all sales initiatives, from generating new business to hosting and executing events. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys being deeply engaged in both sales and event delivery. You’ll build strong connections in the community, develop a loyal book of business, and help shape the reputation of a growing hospitality brand. As the venue expands, this role will evolve into a leadership position with the opportunity to build and mentor a team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive both inbound and outbound sales efforts, including responding to inquiries, prospecting, and building partnerships with local businesses and organizations.
  • Create and execute a wide range of events, from corporate functions to social celebrations, ensuring each is successful from booking to completion.
  • Actively engage in the community to grow awareness of the venue and develop a strong book of business.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align sales goals with operational excellence.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, bookings, and sales performance.
  • Consistently deliver a high standard of service that strengthens guest satisfaction and drives repeat business.


Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in hospitality sales, event planning, or related fields.
  • Strong local network and ability to develop lasting client relationships.
  • Enthusiastic, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for hospitality and events.
  • Active in the community and closely involved in daily operations — growing the business while creating memorable experiences.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, growing environment and adapt as the venue expands.


Compensation & Growth

  • Base Salary: $75,000 – $90,000
  • Additional Incentives: Booking fee and commission structure tied to sales performance
