Gecko Hospitality is searching for the next Director of Housekeeping to join a stunning property nestled in the mountains of Virginia. This property offers luxurious accommodations, a championship golf course, exceptional dining, and a wide range of outdoor experiences, providing guests with an elevated blend of adventure, tranquility, and five-star hospitality.

As the Director of Housekeeping, you’ll lead a dedicated team focused on creating exceptional guest experiences through pristine presentation, consistency, and attention to detail. This role requires a strong operational leader with a hands-on approach and the ability to inspire excellence across the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, training, and motivation to the housekeeping team, ensuring a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Oversee daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public spaces, event areas, and offices.
• Ensure cleanliness and service standards meet or exceed luxury expectations.
• Monitor performance metrics and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and service quality.
• Manage departmental budgets and inventory controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a housekeeping leadership role within a luxury resort or hotel.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a focus on coaching and team development.
• Experience with hospitality systems (Opera, Alice, or similar preferred).
• Proven success managing large teams and maintaining high service standards.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods and manage a fast-paced operation.
