Sales Specialist – Managed Services

About the Role
Our client is a nationally recognized AV integrator known for delivering complex, high-touch enterprise solutions. As AV systems become more networked, software-driven, and mission-critical, the company is making a strategic investment in managed and recurring services.
This is a newly created role focused on building and scaling the Managed Services business. The Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving new recurring revenue by selling service-based offerings to new and existing clients. This is a hunter role with high visibility and the opportunity to help define the sales motion, positioning, and long-term growth strategy for managed services.
What You’ll Do
Business Development & Sales
- Prospect and close new managed services opportunities across enterprise clients
- Sell recurring service offerings including AVaaS, maintenance agreements, remote monitoring, and staff augmentation
- Identify new logos and expansion opportunities within existing client relationships
- Own the full sales cycle from discovery through close, then transition deals to delivery teams
Pipeline & Forecasting
- Build and maintain a healthy, accurate sales pipeline
- Forecast recurring revenue and track opportunities using CRM/PSA tools
- Participate in regular pipeline and performance reviews with leadership
Consultative Selling
- Conduct needs assessments to understand client environments, infrastructure, and support requirements
- Position managed services as a strategic solution aligned to client business needs
- Collaborate with technical and operations teams to scope solutions and ensure fit
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Service, Operations, and Marketing to align messaging and execution
- Provide feedback on market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs
- Support marketing initiatives, events, and campaigns tied to managed services growth
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience selling managed services, recurring revenue, or service-based technology solutions
- Proven hunter mindset with a track record of generating pipeline and closing new business
- Experience selling AV managed services, IT managed services, telecom, security, or similar recurring models preferred
- Strong consultative selling and executive-level communication skills
- Comfort working independently in a growth-oriented, build-phase environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and operational teams
- Experience using CRM or PSA tools for pipeline management and forecasting
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent experience considered
