Internal IT Support Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking an Internal IT Support Specialist to play a key role in supporting day-to-day internal technology operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being the primary IT resource, takes pride in keeping systems secure and organized, and wants meaningful ownership rather than being buried in tickets.

You will serve as the internal point of contact for IT support while coordinating with an external Managed Service Provider (MSP) for escalations and specialized needs. The role focuses on internal user support, cybersecurity, system reliability, and documentation. Hands-on experience with ThreatLocker is required.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Act as the primary internal contact for IT support and troubleshooting
• Coordinate escalations and advanced support with the MSP as needed
• Support users with hardware, software, access control, and workstation setup
• Manage ThreatLocker policies, approvals, and application controls
• Maintain Microsoft 365, identity and access management, endpoints, and basic networking
• Monitor cybersecurity tools and assist with backup and recovery processes
• Track IT assets and maintain accurate documentation of systems and procedures
• Support internal teams with IT-related needs tied to daily operations
• Ensure internal IT systems remain secure, reliable, and well-organized

What Will Set You Up for Success

• Experience in internal IT support, systems administration, or MSP-supported environments
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, identity/access management, and cybersecurity
• Required: Hands-on experience administering ThreatLocker
• Strong troubleshooting skills with clear, professional communication
• Comfortable documenting systems, processes, and equipment
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities without constant supervision
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check
