Project Manager – Audiovisual & Digital Media Integration
Location: Montréal, Québec
Reports To: Regional Technical Manager
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex audiovisual and digital media integration projects from kickoff to client handoff. You’ll be responsible for planning, coordination, and execution, ensuring that every system is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role blends technical understanding with leadership and organization. You’ll work closely with engineering, field technicians, subcontractors, and clients to keep projects running smoothly and customers informed every step of the way. What You’ll Do
Project Leadership
- Manage all aspects of project delivery, from planning and resource allocation to execution and closeout.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex AV, broadcast, or media integration projects that meet scope, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate with architects, general contractors, and client stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment.
- Act as the senior on-site representative, maintaining professionalism and accountability at all times.
Planning & Execution
- Create detailed project schedules, budgets, and communication plans using tools such as MS Project or Gantt charts.
- Assign and manage technical resources, including internal staff and subcontractors.
- Anticipate and mitigate risks; address issues quickly through defined escalation paths.
- Coordinate equipment and material logistics with internal and vendor teams.
- Ensure proper documentation, permits, and safety protocols are in place before work begins.
Quality & Financial Oversight
- Review project scope, drawings, and bills of materials with design and sales teams to confirm accuracy.
- Monitor progress, expenses, and timelines to ensure profitability and efficiency.
- Conduct regular site reviews to maintain quality and adherence to company standards.
- Oversee system testing, commissioning, client training, and project closeout, ensuring all deliverables are met and approved.
Customer Experience
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proactively communicate updates, manage expectations, and resolve challenges with professionalism.
- Support the Regional Technical Manager in continuously improving the customer experience.
Safety & Compliance
- Promote and enforce health and safety practices on all job sites.
- Ensure team members and subcontractors adhere to company and industry safety standards.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of experience managing technical projects, ideally in audiovisual, broadcast, or related integration environments.
- Post-secondary education in Electronics Technology or a related field.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of AV systems, installation processes, and construction site coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook; familiarity with Visio, AutoCAD, or VectorWorks a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, bilingualism (French/English) is a strong asset.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Eligible for security clearance (Secret Level II preferred).
- Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously and leading teams in a fast-paced environment.
