Project Manager – Audiovisual & Digital Media Integration

Reports To: Regional Technical Manager

Location: Vancouver, BC


About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex audiovisual and digital media integration projects from kickoff through closeout. This role sits at the center of execution and coordination, balancing technical oversight, schedule control, financial accountability, and customer experience.


You will work closely with engineering, field technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard of quality. What You’ll Do


Project Leadership

  • Own the full project lifecycle, from planning and coordination through final client handoff
  • Lead cross-functional teams delivering audiovisual, broadcast, and digital media integration projects
  • Act as the senior on-site representative, ensuring professionalism and accountability at all times
  • Interface with clients, architects, general contractors, and electrical contractors throughout project execution


Planning & Execution

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and communication frameworks
  • Assign and coordinate internal technical resources and subcontractors in collaboration with regional leadership
  • Designate site supervisors or leads and oversee day-to-day project activities
  • Track progress, costs, risks, and deliverables while proactively addressing issues and escalations
  • Coordinate equipment and material logistics with internal teams and vendor partners
  • Secure required permits and licensing to support project execution


Quality & Financial Oversight

  • Review project scope, BOMs, SOWs, drawings, labor estimates, and documentation for accuracy
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and cost reserves to ensure financial targets are met
  • Monitor operating expenses, schedules, and resource utilization
  • Escalate labor, financial, or scheduling adjustments when needed
  • Lead project closeout activities including testing, commissioning, client training, documentation, and sign-off
  • Ensure projects close with no outstanding deficiencies and high customer satisfaction


Customer Experience

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
  • Provide clear, consistent updates and manage expectations professionally
  • Resolve challenges collaboratively while maintaining strong client relationships


Safety & Compliance

  • Promote and enforce all health and safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure job sites meet company and industry safety standards
  • Confirm staff and subcontractors comply with all safety requirements


What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in a project management role
  • Experience managing audiovisual, broadcast, or technical integration projects preferred
  • Post-secondary education in Electronics Technology or a related field
  • Project Management certification required; PMP preferred
  • Strong understanding of AV systems, installation practices, and construction site coordination
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Visio, or VectorWorks is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience leading technical teams and subcontractors
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
  • Eligibility for security clearance preferred
