Job Description
The Federal & Defense Segment Sales Manager is responsible for leading sales efforts and go-to-market strategy for dvLED display solutions across the U.S. Federal Government, U.S. Military branches, the U.S. Intelligence Community, prime defense contractors, and emerging space and aerospace agencies (e.g., NASA, Space Force, and private-sector launch innovators).
This role focuses on building and nurturing channel relationships, consulting teams, and key stakeholders in these sectors to drive awareness, preference, and procurement of technology. While the primary market focus is U.S.-based, the role may also support NATO-aligned opportunities through approved partnerships and U.S. foreign military sales programs.
Functional Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter expert on dvLED technologies for military, defense, and federal civilian applications.
- Identify, engage, and manage a strategic network of channel partners, system integrators, consulting engineers, and defense technology providers.
- Collaborate with the VP of Federal Markets and cross-functional teams to pursue GSA schedules, IDIQ contracts, and project-specific RFPs.
- Lead technical pre-sales engagements and coordinate bid specifications with program managers, engineers, and acquisition officials.
- Develop use-case-driven sales strategies for environments such as command and control centers, mission-critical operations rooms, classified briefing areas, and space exploration visualization suites.
- Maintain active involvement with U.S. defense primes and integrators such as Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, and Leidos.
- Build and execute federal-specific marketing programs in partnership with marketing, including trade show support (AFCEA, AUSA, GEOINT), white papers, and thought leadership.
- Train and enable federal channel partners, including sales engineers, program managers, and contracting officers.
- Maintain a high level of technical and regulatory knowledge relevant to FedRAMP, NIST, and DoD-specific security standards.
- Contribute to NATO market development in partnership with export-compliant integrators aligned to U.S. programs of record or Five Eyes collaboration efforts.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience selling complex AV or IT technology solutions to federal or defense markets.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. government procurement cycles, DoD acquisition processes, and secure facility requirements.
- Familiarity with GSA, SEWP, or other contract vehicles.
- Experience working with or through defense contractors and program offices.
- Strong understanding of dvLED technology, image processing, and AV system design.
- Ability to build long-term, trusted relationships with program stakeholders.
- Ability to travel as required to secure project wins and support federal events and installations.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce, MS Office Suite, and federal procurement tools (e.g., SAM.gov, FPDS).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, AV Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- US. citizenship required; active security clearance preferred or eligibility to obtain one.
