Field Installation Engineer III – DV-LED Video Walls


Location: U.S. (Extensive Travel Required – ~95%)

Employment Type: Full-Time


About the Role

Our client is a U.S.-based dvLED manufacturer known for delivering highly customized, large-scale display solutions across a wide range of environments. They are seeking a Level 3 Field Installation Engineer to lead on-site execution of complex dvLED video wall installations.


This is a senior, hands-on field role responsible for ensuring installations are completed to the highest standards - from site readiness through commissioning and client handoff. You will serve as a technical lead on-site, working closely with project managers, third-party installers, and clients to ensure successful deployment.

What You’ll Do

Installation Leadership & Execution

  • Lead on-site installation, configuration, and commissioning of large-scale dvLED video wall systems
  • Assess site readiness and ensure installation crews are properly prepared and equipped
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers to align installation timelines and execution plans
  • Oversee third-party installation teams and ensure adherence to best practices and project specifications

Technical Expertise & System Optimization

  • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain dvLED systems and associated components
  • Perform display calibration and optimization to ensure peak visual performance
  • Program and configure control systems, with a strong focus on NovaStar processing and calibration tools
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, including chronic or non-standard system challenges

Training & Customer Support

  • Train installation partners and end users on system setup, operation, and maintenance
  • Conduct system startup, testing, and final walkthroughs with clients
  • Serve as the on-site technical expert, answering questions and recommending solutions

Quality Control & Problem Solving

  • Identify, analyze, and repair product or installation issues in real time
  • Develop creative solutions to complex field challenges
  • Ensure all systems meet quality standards prior to project completion

Documentation & Operational Support

  • Complete required reporting, system documentation, and administrative tasks
  • Support inventory tracking and equipment management as needed
  • Collaborate with Field Operations leadership to improve processes and field execution


What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, or related technical field (preferred)
  • 4–7 years of experience in AV integration, LED display systems, or related field engineering roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with dvLED video wall installation and commissioning
  • Proven experience with NovaStar configuration, calibration, and system optimization (required)
  • Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in live environments
  • Experience leading or directing installation crews on-site
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients and partners
  • Ability to work independently in high-travel, field-based environments


Work Environment

  • Approximately 95% travel to project sites (domestic and potential international)
  • Physically active role requiring standing for extended periods
  • Comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Dynamic, project-based environments with varying site conditions
