Dental Territory Sales Manager

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, CA

Employment Type: Full-Time

Territory: San Francisco Bay Area Market

Schedule: Field-based role with minimal office time

Reports to: President / General Manager

About the Role

A well-established and growing dental laboratory is seeking a highly driven, entrepreneurial Dental Territory Sales Manager to develop and grow business within the San Francisco Bay Area market.

This role is ideal for a proven dental industry sales professional who understands how to build relationships, generate new business, and grow a territory with a high degree of independence. The company’s digital workflows and shipping capabilities allow it to support clients beyond its immediate local market, creating an opportunity for the right salesperson to develop strong regional business while being backed by an established laboratory team.

This is not an entry-level sales opportunity. The ideal candidate will bring meaningful dental industry sales experience, strong market relationships, and the ability to represent a high-quality laboratory partner to the dentist community.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and grow business within the San Francisco Bay Area territory, including areas such as San Francisco, Alameda County, Contra Costa County, San Joaquin County, and surrounding markets.

Build and maintain strong relationships with dentists, dental practices, specialists, and other key referral sources in the local market.

Promote the laboratory’s products and services through in-person visits, phone outreach, digital communication, and consistent follow-up.

Identify new business opportunities and convert prospects into long-term accounts.

Manage the territory with an entrepreneurial mindset, taking ownership of pipeline development, client engagement, and revenue growth.

Partner with internal leadership, production, customer service, and support teams to ensure a strong client experience and smooth case flow.

Represent the company at local dental events, study clubs, conventions, meetings, and networking opportunities.

Use social media and professional outreach channels to increase visibility, strengthen connections, and generate qualified leads.

Track sales activity, market feedback, competitor activity, and performance metrics, and provide regular updates to leadership.

Serve as a trusted point of contact for customers in the assigned region and help position the company as a long-term laboratory partner.

Qualifications

Proven sales experience, preferably within the dental laboratory or broader dental industry.

Strong understanding of the dental market and how to develop business with dentists and dental practices.

Prior dental laboratory, dental product, or dental service sales experience is strongly preferred.

Demonstrated success building and growing a territory independently.

Entrepreneurial, self-directed approach with the ability to create momentum in a competitive market.

Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Comfortable with in-person outreach, digital communication, and social media for professional engagement.

Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally within the assigned territory.

Dental industry experience is strongly preferred; candidates without meaningful industry sales experience will not be prioritized.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary: $70,000–$75,000

Commission: 6% commission on net sales generated

Commission structure: Uncapped earning potential

Benefits: Standard health, dental, and vision benefits

Business expenses: Covered based on approval and actual expenses

Why This Opportunity

Opportunity to build and own a strong Bay Area territory.

Strong support from an established dental laboratory team.

Uncapped earning potential through a clear commission structure.

Ability to sell into a market that can be supported through digital workflows and shipping.

A chance to make a real impact in a growth-focused, quality-driven laboratory environment.
