Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Dental Lab Ceramist to join a high-quality dental laboratory in Calgary. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented ceramist who takes pride in creating highly aesthetic, functional restorations and thrives in a collaborative lab environment. The ceramist will play a key role in delivering exceptional outcomes for patients and supporting dentists with consistent, high-end work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete ceramic layering and finishing for crowns, bridges, veneers, and implant-supported restorations
  • Perform staining, glazing, contouring, and final aesthetics to meet prescription and quality standards
  • Collaborate with designers, technicians, and leadership to ensure case accuracy and efficiency
  • Maintain consistency in shade matching, morphology, and occlusion
  • Evaluate incoming cases and communicate any concerns or recommendations proactively
  • Adhere to established quality control processes and turnaround expectations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of ceramic techniques and workflows

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a dental lab ceramist
  • Strong proficiency in ceramic layering, staining, and finishing
  • Experience with zirconia, lithium disilicate, and porcelain restorations
  • Excellent eye for aesthetics, shade matching, and natural tooth morphology
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-based environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Experience working with digital workflows (CAD/CAM) is a plus
