Removable Department Lead (Analog & Digital)

Location: Little Rock, AR

Employment Type: Full-Time | On-site

About the Opportunity

A growing, relationship-driven dental laboratory is launching a Removable Department and is seeking an experienced Dental Lab Technician (Analog & Digital) to help build it from the ground up.

This is not a maintenance role. It is a foundational leadership opportunity for a technician who wants real influence, long-term upside, and direct alignment between their work and the department’s success.

If you enjoy craftsmanship, problem-solving, and helping shape systems—not just following them—this role was designed for you.

Role Overview

The Removable Department Lead will play a critical role in establishing, developing, and scaling a new removable service line with strong existing demand.

This position combines hands-on production with department development, offering the opportunity to influence workflows, materials, pricing, quality standards, and future team growth.

The right candidate is a builder mindset technician—detail-oriented, collaborative, and excited to help create something meaningful.

Key Responsibilities

Department Development & Leadership

  • Help design and implement removable workflows (analog and digital)
  • Assist with selecting materials, equipment, and digital processes
  • Contribute to pricing strategy, turnaround times, and quality benchmarks
  • Partner with leadership to scale the department responsibly and efficiently

Analog / Traditional Responsibilities

  • Wax-ups, tooth setups, processing, finishing, and polishing
  • Fabrication of full dentures, partials, bite splints, and other removables
  • Repairs, relines, and adjustments with precision and consistency

Digital Responsibilities

  • Manage digital portals and IOS cases
  • Design removable prosthetics using CAD software
  • Support 3D printing and digital production workflows
  • Integrate digital efficiencies while maintaining high esthetic and functional standards

Collaboration & Quality

  • Communicate directly with dentists and internal team members
  • Maintain exceptional quality, esthetics, and consistency
  • Support training and future team expansion as volume increases

Qualifications Required

  • Proven experience fabricating removable prosthetics (dentures, partials)
  • Strong analog skill set with openness to digital workflows
  • Solid understanding of dental lab terminology and processes
  • High attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
  • Strong communication skills and leadership mindset

Preferred

  • Experience launching or scaling a removable department
  • CAD/CAM and/or 3D printing experience
  • Entrepreneurial, growth-oriented mentality

We are looking for a builder — not a button pusher.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base pay (commensurate with experience)
  • Profit-sharing opportunity tied directly to removable department performance
  • Significant long-term growth potential as the department scales
  • Access to modern digital equipment and workflows
  • Supportive, collaborative, and growth-focused team environment

Why This Role Is Different

  • You will help create, not inherit, the department
  • Your input matters — workflows, systems, and standards
  • Clear path to increased responsibility and compensation
  • Direct alignment between your success and the lab’s success
