Dental Lab Technician – Full Arch Finishing

Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site

Pay: $25–$35 per hour, depending on experience

A growing and innovative dental laboratory in the Rochester, NY area is seeking an experienced Dental Lab Technician to join its full-arch production team. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented technician who enjoys hands-on finishing work, follows structured laboratory protocols, and takes pride in producing high-quality dental restorations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong dental laboratory background, excellent manual dexterity, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Position Summary

The Dental Lab Technician will review dentists’ prescriptions and follow established laboratory protocols to finish full-arch dental restorations. This role requires strong attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to meet quality standards in a fast-paced lab environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Review clinical prescriptions and follow dentist instructions accurately.
  • Finish full-arch dental restorations according to lab protocols.
  • Use hand tools, rotary instruments, and polishing equipment to contour, trim, characterize, and polish prosthetics.
  • Evaluate fit, function, occlusion, and overall accuracy of full-arch prostheses using articulators and bite tables.
  • Remove excess material and polish prostheses or frameworks.
  • Maintain clean and organized finishing tools, handpieces, and workstations.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and procedural protocols.
  • Communicate clearly with coworkers, lab management, and other departments to support workflow and quality.
  • Assist with other laboratory duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of dental laboratory experience required.
  • Experience with finishing, polishing, contouring, or full-arch restorations preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • CDT designation preferred, but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed step-by-step protocols.
