Assistant Designer - NYC

We have an immediate opening for an Assistant Designer for private-label swim brands, swimwear experience not required.

This position will report to the Design Director and work closely with Art Directors and the Technical team. This role supports the Director in all areas of the design and development process.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create sketches and Illustrator flats
• Execute on the concepts and design direction of the Head Designer
• Research and create mood boards
• Build digital presentations for meetings
• Attend presentation meetings and take detailed notes
• Update line sheets per meeting notes and Designer direction
• Attend virtual fittings and track approvals/comments
• Communicate with cross-functional teams: Tech, Sample Sewers, and Sales
• All other day-to-day tasks, as assigned by the Head Designer

Job Requirements:

• Internships/ 1+ years of design experience required
• Expert in Illustrator
• Elevated design taste-level
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• The ideal candidate will be adaptable and can work in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation: $55K Range plus benefits
