Fit Technician / Patternmaker for Walmart Swimwear

A well-established swimwear company specializing in design, production, and distribution of Walmart swimwear is seeking a Patternmaker to join its NYC team.

Responsibilities:

• 5 years of experience as a Fit Technician / Patternmaker
• Collaborate with Designers to develop patterns, draw, and add all technical details of swimwear using Adobe Illustrator
• Prepare technical packs for all styles for Asia, including sewing techniques and swimwear construction details
• Prepare measurement sheets that accurately reflect technical drawings and patterns
• Send technical packs to suppliers
• Measure garments upon arrival from Asia and enter measurements on the technical sheet
• Perform technical checks on swimwear (Quality Control) when necessary
• Schedule fittings with the fit model and Designers
• Make measurement adjustments during fittings
• Adjust all patterns and measurements on the technical sheet according to company policy
• Send revisions to suppliers in Asia
• Respond to all emails from Asian suppliers

Experience:

• Knowledge of Swimwear or lingerie/WALMART
• Illustrator, Microsoft Office, (Pattern) Optitex PDS
• Optitex: 1 year (Preferred)
• Adobe Illustrator: 1 year (Preferred)
• Patternmaker (Fit Tech): 5 years (Required)

Permanent, Full-time - 4 Days In Office/1 WFH

Salary range: 85K-100K, DOE
