Business Analyst / Planner - WALMART


The Business Analyst will play a critical role in our brand's success at retail. This customer-facing position will manage all aspects of strategic analysis and business performance for the Walmart account. As this role will work across internal and external teams, it requires strong collaboration skills and attention to detail to ensure efficient and accurate results.


Current Software experience: Required/Walmart Scintilla, ADS, Supplier One


Responsibilities:


-Provide internal analytic support for our apparel business at Walmart - inclusive of category, market, and assortment performance analysis

-Access Walmart system to support evaluation of in-stock and inventory positions to ensure maintenance of in-store product availability

-Planning, sales reporting, and replenishment

-Work with Walmart to develop and execute strategies to improve inventory management, enabling cost savings.

-Inventory and store-in-stock responsibilities for the department

-Accountable for managing monthly production forecasting for multiple SKUs

-Store Item level analysis evaluating sell-through and inventory levels

-Expert in root cause analysis and adjusting forecasts based on sales trends or supply chain disruptions

-Effective collaboration with internal support and external teams on sales and forecasting

-Serve as a Retail/CPG thought leader across internal and external partners - developing your individual sales analytics roadmap and thinking ahead about what data will be useful for partners to drive decision-making

-Be a "storyteller" - interpret the data and create and deliver compelling presentations for both internal and external partners based on data-driven insights and recommendations

-Create and manage weekly/monthly scorecards for internal and external tracking of the retail business

-Be the go-to for ad-hoc retail reporting and analysis, supporting the Retail Team and our leadership by answering business questions, preparing for category reviews, and thought leadership for our retail partners

-Independently identify and drive deep-dive strategic projects that help unlock new opportunities through thoughtful analysis of the category, competitive dynamics, shopper demographics, and purchase dynamics

-Serve as an external and internal influencer within the business, empowering the team to make data-driven decisions quickly by identifying the "so what" and "why" behind the headlines

-Support broader retail analytics projects beyond the specific requirements of your customer team as a key team member to help improve overall sales analytics capabilities

-Onboard new ways of working and tools to improve our collective ability to develop business insights


This should describe you:


-Bachelor's degree and 6+ years in an analytical, planning, data-driven role.

-Experience in Sales Analytic, Inventory Management, Supply Chain and/or Replenishment with Walmart 

-Working with data excites you. You can manage and synthesize complex data from multiple sources and create solid business recommendations.

-Professional and enthusiastic team player with a passion to work collaboratively across teams and drive results

-Takes ownership and responsibility for the work and desires to be seen as a sales analytics leader and business decision partner, not just a report generator

-Excellent communicator with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills

-You are insatiably curious and always looking to learn something new - seeking to improve yourself, your team, and the world around you.


Here's who you'll work with:

You will work closely with the President, providing Retail Analytics, and will be closely aligned with our Walmart customer team, focusing on driving the business.


Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 dependent on experience

Remote option if outside of the NYC area
