Our client is a privately held, industry leader in the design, marketing, sourcing, and distribution of 20+ brands, in over 20K stores in 6 countries. In business 45 Years they are focused on product varieties in fashion, home, and holiday brands, licensing, and private label.


In this role, you'll collaborate with the Design Team to create technical specifications for men's and women’s activewear and sportswear. The role spans a wide variety of skills relating to fit and sample development.


You must be a self-starter and capable of balancing multiple projects simultaneously while paying attention to deadlines and benchmarks.


Responsibilities:

  • Participates in fit sessions with the goal of expanding knowledge and experience across category
  • Record results on the appropriate forms to be used for fit sessions and report writing
  • Communicate with overseas on fit samples & adjustments
  • Create flats as needed for tech packs
  • Develop detailed technical drawings and sketches using Adobe Illustrator
  • Modifies construction sketches and other details in tech pack specifications as needed
  • Communicates and interacts with internal and external partners. Topics include sample status, fit
  • comments, and garment construction comments as well as tracking samples.
  • Create and maintain accurate measurement charts and grading specifications
  • Communicate with manufacturers to address any technical issues or questions


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-2 years technical design experience
  • Strong knowledge of fashion design principles and techniques
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately measure garments
  • Basic understanding of fit, garment construction, and sample measuring a benefit
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Illustrator, for creating technical drawings
  • and sketches
  • Ability to maintain focus and accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • A cooperative, positive attitude
  • Strong organizational skills is a must
  • Ability to accept feedback about processes and skill set and engage in conversation around best
  • practices to deepen knowledge base


Benefits: Hybrid 4 days in office, Friday WFH, 401K, dental, medical, vision, pre-tax commuter benefit, paid vacation / PTO in addition to an extra 10-15 holiday closures/year (depends on calendar year)


Salary Range: $50,000- -$55,000
