About the Role
This is a field-driven sales role with a growing security integrator focused on electronic access control, video, and integrated security systems. The organization delivers complete solutions and owns the full project lifecycle, from system design and scope through installation, commissioning, and ongoing service.
This role is built for someone who understands how security projects actually get sold and delivered. You will work closely with technical and operations teams, take ownership of customer relationships, and drive opportunities from first walkthrough to final handoff. Location: Remote, territory-based coverage in Northern VA, Eastern VA, or Western VA. Three openings, one per territory.
Role Overview
The Security Account Executive is responsible for growing new and existing business within an assigned Virginia territory. This role owns the customer relationship end to end, including prospecting, site walks, solution development, proposal creation, closing, and internal coordination.
Success in this role comes from consistent time in the field, strong technical curiosity, clean pipeline management, and tight collaboration with integration and operations teams to ensure projects are delivered as sold.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with end users, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders across assigned vertical markets.
- Identify, qualify, and develop access control and electronic security opportunities.
- Conduct site walks and needs assessments to accurately scope systems and solutions.
- Build clear, competitive proposals for installations, service agreements, and system expansions.
- Maintain regular field activity through customer visits, networking, and industry events.
- Partner closely with internal teams to ensure projects are executed on time and to scope.
- Manage opportunities, quotes, and forecasts with discipline using the CRM.
Background Profile
- Three or more years of experience selling within a technical B2B environment.
- Prior experience with a security integrator, access control systems, or electronic security solutions strongly preferred.
- Ability to obtain DCJS registration in the state of Virginia.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical solutions into customer value.
- Organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing a full sales cycle.
- Experience working with CRM and business software tools.
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.
Job Conditions
- Approximately 50 percent travel within the assigned territory.
- Combination of remote work, field time, and customer site visits.
