Territory Sales Manager – Industrial Distribution
Location: Dallas Fort Worth Area
Overview:
Our client is looking for a results-driven Territory Sales Manager to lead a high-performing sales team in the industrial markets. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on building relationships, developing people, and driving measurable growth. You’ll manage a team of 6–10 sales professionals, shape go-to-market strategy, and partner closely with senior leadership to expand our footprint across the region.

What You’ll Do

Drive growth: Lead the territory’s sales strategy to increase revenue, expand market share, and strengthen customer relationships.

Lead a team: Recruit, coach, and mentor a team of outside sales professionals — building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Engage key customers: Build and maintain strong partnerships with industrial clients, understanding their challenges and aligning our solutions to their goals.

Plan strategically: Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and adjust sales approaches accordingly.

Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with branch and regional leaders, operations, and marketing teams to develop campaigns and ensure consistent service delivery.

Manage performance: Set clear sales goals, monitor KPIs and budgets, and provide regular reporting to senior leadership.

Optimize operations: Develop and refine sales methods and procedures that improve efficiency and profitability.
What You Bring
- Proven success leading a sales team within industrial distribution (fluid power, motion control, automation, or related sectors preferred).
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret data, anticipate market shifts, and turn insights into action.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills — you know how to motivate, coach, and develop people.
- A customer-first mindset and ability to translate technical concepts into practical, results-driven solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Willingness to travel within your assigned territory.
Preferred:
- Certified Fluid Power Specialist (CFPS) credential
- Hands-on hydraulic, pneumatic, or motion-control experience
