Position Overview
Our client is seeking a skilled CNC Mill Operator to join their precision manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge medical technology in a stable, quality-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC lathes and milling machines to manufacture precision parts
- Perform CNC programming and CAM programming for various machining tasks
- Utilize GD&T principles to ensure parts meet design specifications
- Conduct electrical discharge machining when required
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensions
- Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues
- Collaborate with team members to improve manufacturing processes through lean manufacturing principles
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for assembly and fabrication tasks
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of CNC milling machine experience
- Minimum 1 year of CNC lathe experience
- Proven experience as a machinist with a strong understanding of machining processes
- Proficiency in CNC programming, CAD software, SolidWorks, and CAM programming is highly desirable
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and tooling techniques
- Blueprint reading skills
- Basic math skills for calculations related to machining tasks
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Must be willing to work mandatory overtime
- Ability to commute to Hawthorne, CA 90250 (Required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical device, aerospace, or precision manufacturing background
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls
- Experience with welding is a plus
- Ability to operate forklifts safely is preferred
- Experience with tight tolerance work
