Pave Talent is seeking a full-time Remote Commercial Lines Producer for our client, a premier San Diego-based independent insurance brokerage specializing in Property & Casualty insurance. This growing agency offers 20+ carrier options, allowing producers to truly advocate for business clients by shopping the market for best-fit solutions. Although remote, a California P&C License is mandatory.
Responsibilities:

New Business Development: Generate and close new commercial insurance business through inbound and warm referral leads from established business networks

Consultative Sales: Conduct discovery calls with business owners to assess risk and coverage needs across General Liability, Property, Workers Compensation, Commercial Auto, Errors & Omissions, Directors & Officers, and specialty lines

Multi-Carrier Quoting: Present customized commercial coverage solutions by shopping 20+ carriers to find optimal pricing and coverage for each client

Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with business clients through consultative, relationship-based selling approach rather than high-volume transactional sales

Pipeline Management: Manage sales pipeline and follow-up activities in agency management system to ensure consistent production and goal achievement

Industry Expertise: Serve businesses across various industries including Construction, Manufacturing, Real Estate, Technology, Healthcare, Retail, and Logistics

Collaboration: Partner with Account Management team for seamless handoff of closed policies, allowing focus on revenue-generating activities

Market Knowledge: Stay current on commercial insurance market trends, carrier appetites, and underwriting guidelines
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license in California or reciprocal state (Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, Wyoming)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial insurance sales/production experience
- Proven experience quoting and binding commercial lines coverage (General Liability, Property, Workers Compensation, Commercial Auto)
- Strong consultative sales skills with demonstrated close ratios
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to work independently in 100% remote environment
Preferred:
- 3+ years of commercial lines production experience
- Independent agency or brokerage background with multi-carrier experience
- Experience with specialty lines (Marine, Aviation, Construction, Technology E&O, Cyber, Manufacturing, Logistics)
- Proven track record of consistent monthly premium production ($30K+ per month)
- Familiarity with specific industries (Construction, Real Estate, Technology, Healthcare, Manufacturing)
