Job Description

An independent extruder, finisher and fabricator of aluminum extrusions serving the commercial, residential, and industrial markets of Western Canada and the Western United States is seeking a full time Journeyman Electrician at our new facility in Phoenix. Applicant must have strong PLC programming experience, as well as hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.

Job description

• Troubleshooting and repairing of machinery quickly and effectively to maximize production time.
• Working on various projects involving fabrication, rebuilding parts, wiring panels and inspecting machinery.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Help other maintenance and operational personnel as needed.
• Work independently and as a team.
• Safety sensitive position.

Knowledge, Skill, and Experience Requirements:

• Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, variable frequency drives, 3 phase 480vac equipment, motor controls and sensors.
• Experience with and understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic valves, pumps, cylinders and schematics.
• Experience with general industrial equipment such as chains, bushings, bearings, gearboxes and drive belts.
• Experience with fabrication and reading blueprints.
• Lock out/tag out.
• Operating a forklift and man lift.
• Working safely in elevated heights and in confined space.
• Working safely around chemicals and the proper use of PPE.
• Plumbing of air, oil, grease and water lines.
• PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Hydraulic troubleshooting.
• Pneumatic troubleshooting.
• Fabrication and Welding of manufacturing parts.
• Other duties as assigned

Maintenance and Engineering Manager

Environmental Factors and Working Conditions:

• Clean and safe working environment.
• Nearly all machinery is indoors.
• The manufacturing plant is warm in the winter and hot in the summer.
• OT is to be expected based on production requirements.

Education and Work experience

• Arizona Licensed Journeyman Electrician
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
