Apply for this job

Candidates must be located in the United States.

Job Overview

We're looking for a Vice President with deep, established relationships across the pharmaceutical industry and a track record of turning those relationships into revenue. This is a seller/doer role for someone who wants to keep running excellent market research projects while leveraging their industry standing and connections to drive growth - rather than someone who wants to run a full new-business hunting operation from a cold start.

You'll Enjoy This Job If...

  • You have deep roots in the pharmaceutical industry and want to put your relationships and reputation to work.
  • You'd rather grow a relationship than chase the next cold lead.
  • You want to stay close to the research itself - not hand it off - while also owning the commercial side of the account.
  • You think of growth as a byproduct of doing genuinely excellent work and being well-regarded in your field, not a separate sales exercise.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate Revenue-Generating Relationships: Draw on a strong network within the pharmaceutical industry to build client relationships and drive revenue growth.
  • Strategic Client Consultation: Understand each client's evolving business needs and position the right research solutions to meet them, acting as a trusted long-term advisor rather than a one-off vendor.
  • Manage Multi-Client Projects: Oversee multiple clients and market research projects simultaneously, from initiation to completion, across various therapeutic categories.
  • Lead Project Execution: Lead and manage hands-on project execution for pharmaceutical clients, drawing on support staff as needed.
  • Data Analysis and Storytelling: Analyze and interpret qualitative and/or quantitative data, and translate findings into a compelling narrative clients act on.
  • Revenue Forecasting: Develop forecasts based on relationship growth and account opportunity.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years of experience designing and executing market research, with at least 8 years focused specifically in pharmaceutical market research.
  • A well-established professional network within the pharmaceutical industry and a demonstrated ability to turn relationships into revenue.
  • A track record of growing relationships over time
  • Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research methodologies.

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • A collaborative and supportive environment where employees thrive.
  • Generous PTO and healthcare benefits.
  • Summer Fridays.
