Job Description 

Position Title: Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist  

Location: St. Newburgh, NY 

Shift: Either 7am– 3pm, 3pm – 11pm, or 9pm – 7am 

Job Responsibilities  

• Performs, evaluates, records and reports clinical laboratory tests used in the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of patients on a variety of body fluids and biological specimens.   
• Assist immediate supervisor by accepting responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the assigned area.

Job Requirements 

Successful candidates for the Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist:  

Education/Training: 

• B.S. /B.A. in Laboratory Science or permitted by NYS Department of Education as a Medical Technologist. Completion of one (1) year training in an approved Medical Technology program or equivalent as per New York State Department of Health Standards and Laws.  
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English. 

Experience:  

• Six (6) years of Medical Technologist experience required. 

Licensure, Registration or Certification:  

• NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license required, MT (ASCP) preferred.
