Summary

The Total Rewards Specialist supports the administration and continuous improvement of employee benefits and retirement programs. This role ensures compliance, supports employees with benefits-related needs, and contributes to the broader Total Rewards function including leave, workers’ compensation, and compensation support.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for employee benefits inquiries including health, dental, vision, life, and other company programs
  • Support benefits education efforts including new hire orientations and employee information sessions
  • Assist with annual open enrollment and ongoing benefit changes throughout the year
  • Partner with third-party administrators to support retirement plan operations, compliance, and employee education
  • Participate in retirement plan testing, audits, and regulatory filings
  • Manage workers’ compensation claims and support compliance with state and federal requirements
  • Oversee leave of absence programs including FMLA, ADA, and personal leave while partnering with managers and HR partners
  • Process unemployment claims and maintain accurate reporting and documentation
  • Support compensation activities including job evaluations, benchmarking, and compensation analysis
  • Assist with administration of time off policies including PTO, holidays, and accrual tracking
  • Prepare reports and analysis related to Total Rewards programs and ensure compliance with applicable regulations


Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4–6+ years of experience in benefits administration
  • Experience working with HRIS systems and benefits administration platforms
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks including HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, ERISA, and related DOL and IRS regulations
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
  • Experience supporting benefits programs in multi-state organizations
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to translate data into recommendations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Detail oriented with strong problem solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment


Salary

$76,000 – $85,000
