Summary

Responsible for accurate payroll processing, payroll analysis, and administration of retirement and benefit plans while supporting compliance, reporting, and employee inquiries


Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate onboarding and payroll setup for new hires
  • Verify termination pay and final payments for accuracy and compliance
  • Administer payroll taxes in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Review employee timecards for accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with timely and accurate payroll processing, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and garnishments
  • Administer and track leave of absence activity and related payments
  • Prepare payroll, benefits, and demographic analyses and reports
  • Reconcile and analyze general ledger transactions related to payroll
  • Support pension contribution changes and benefits provider payments and reconciliations
  • Assist with audits, ad hoc reporting, and ongoing process improvements in partnership with HR and Finance


Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience supporting payroll processing and payroll-related accounting
  • Working knowledge of payroll regulations, including multi-state compliance
  • Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and formulas
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy
  • Customer-first mindset with the ability to support employee inquiries
  • Adaptable and able to manage changing priorities


Salary

$64,000–$82,000


Hybrid (Cleveland area)
