The Benefits Specialist manages employee benefit programs, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and clear communication to support a positive employee experience.
Responsibilities
- Administer health, welfare, and retirement plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations
- Reconcile vendor invoices and conduct regular audits of benefits data and billing
- Manage disability, leave of absence, and COBRA processes
- Provide employees with support and guidance on benefit options, enrollment, and claims
- Conduct benefit orientations and communicate updates to employees
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in HR systems
- Assist with compliance filings, audits, and reporting requirements
- Partner with payroll and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate deductions and plan administration
Qualifications and Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in benefits or human resources
- Knowledge of benefit programs, compliance, and applicable regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
- Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Salary
$85,000-$90,000 annually
