Summary

The Benefits Specialist manages employee benefit programs, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and clear communication to support a positive employee experience.


Responsibilities

  • Administer health, welfare, and retirement plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations
  • Reconcile vendor invoices and conduct regular audits of benefits data and billing
  • Manage disability, leave of absence, and COBRA processes
  • Provide employees with support and guidance on benefit options, enrollment, and claims
  • Conduct benefit orientations and communicate updates to employees
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in HR systems
  • Assist with compliance filings, audits, and reporting requirements
  • Partner with payroll and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate deductions and plan administration


Qualifications and Skills

  • 3–5 years of experience in benefits or human resources
  • Knowledge of benefit programs, compliance, and applicable regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines


Salary

$85,000-$90,000 annually
