Summary
The Payroll Supervisor leads end-to-end payroll operations while managing and developing a payroll team to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery in a fast-paced, multi-state environment
Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle, bi-weekly payroll processing including audits, reporting, deductions, and garnishments
- Supervise and develop payroll team members including scheduling, performance management, and coaching
- Design and improve payroll and timekeeping workflows to increase automation and efficiency
- Ensure accurate multi-state and local payroll tax processing and compliance
- Serve as an escalation point for complex payroll questions and employee issues
- Maintain and optimize HRIS and timekeeping system configurations and data integrity
- Support payroll-related activities for acquisitions, integrations, and organizational growth
- Partner with accounting and HR to ensure accurate exports, reconciliations, and reporting
- Lead payroll-related training, documentation, and process standardization initiatives
Qualifications and Skills
- 7+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- Advanced experience with ADP payroll and HRIS systems
- Ability to independently process payroll from start to finish for mid to large organizations
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and garnishments
- Prior experience leading or supervising a payroll team preferred
- CPP certification preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
Salary
