Are you a tile setter who takes pride in clean layouts, quality prep, and finished work that looks sharp and lasts? This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants full-time hours, consistent work, and projects you can be proud of. Rumford Stone is looking for a tile setter, and they are also open to candidates with lower experience levels who have professionally laid tile in some capacity, even if only as a helper or apprentice, and are serious about learning, working hard, and growing into more responsibility.

- Steady year-round work, with 40+ hours every week and an average of about 51 hours.
- Monday through Friday schedule, typically starting at 6:00 or 7:00 a.m.
- Long, full workdays, usually 9 to 11 hours.
- Minimal Saturdays expected.
- Premium residential projects, including large full bathroom remodels and other interior tile work in quality homes and neighborhoods.
- Company vehicle provided from Bow for travel to job sites, typically within 60 to 90 minutes.
- Tools and work shirts provided.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Installing a wide range of interior tile work, including full bathroom remodels and other detailed residential projects.
- Handling surface prep, layout, installation, grouting, and finishing work with a high level of craftsmanship.
- Planning jobs effectively so the work moves smoothly and the finished product looks clean and professional.
- Leading jobs at a higher level as your experience allows, including directing 1 to 2 helpers and helping train apprentices.
- Working efficiently through long days while maintaining quality, pace, and professionalism.
- Representing the company well in occupied homes, with strong communication and a respectful, presentable approach around homeowners.
- Traveling from the Bow shop to job sites in a company vehicle and helping keep work organized from start to finish.
What You Bring:
- Professional tile setting experience in some capacity, even if that experience started as a helper or apprentice.
- Strong interest in growing your skills in residential interior tile work.
- Ability to work hard, stay productive, and handle a very full-time schedule, typically 40 to 60 hours per week.
- Leadership ability or interest in growing into a lead role, including directing helpers and training apprentices.
- Experience with advanced tile setting skills such as waterproofing, Schluter systems, large format tile, natural stone, custom showers, mud work, epoxy grout, heated floors, laser layout, or reading plans is a plus.
- Professional appearance and communication, especially when working in customer-occupied homes.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company vehicle.
- DOT card and driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
- Ability to pass a background check.
