Summary / Objective
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Clerk to manage material ordering, inventory tracking, and the organized upkeep of onsite materials. This role supports daily operations by ensuring materials are available, accurately tracked, and properly stored.
Essential Daily Duties
- Maintain records of ordered materials and monitor corresponding shipping dates
- Confirm shipping timelines with vendors and proactively manage delivery issues
- Ensure all purchasing documents are complete and accurate
- Generate regular reports on material usage and costs for finance and management teams
- Inspect received materials, verify slab numbers, and document discrepancies (e.g., damage, labeling issues)
- Follow verbal and written instructions with precision
- Maintain composure and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate effectively with team members
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Associate degree plus 2+ years of purchasing experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
- Strong Excel and data entry skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Demonstrated teamwork and reliability in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment
Fast-paced setting that includes both office and plant floor environments. Regular exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.
Physical Demands
Ability to sit, reach overhead, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Frequently handle heavy stone slabs using overhead cranes and carts.
Vision requirements include: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
