Maintenance Technician

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and versatile Maintenance Technician to join our countertop fabrication team. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all equipment and machinery in the shop. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical skills, experience working with a wide range of industrial machines, and a proactive approach to keeping operations running smoothly.

Experience in the stone fabrication industry or with CNC/bridge saw equipment is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on fabrication equipment including CNC machines, bridge saws, polishers, air compressors, and dust collection systems.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and perform timely repairs.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before they cause downtime.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and production staff to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption.
  • Order and track spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies as needed.
  • Work with outside vendors or service technicians when specialized repairs are required.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Support general facility maintenance as needed (lighting, plumbing, minor building repairs, etc.).

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience required; stone fabrication or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience repairing and maintaining CNC machines, bridge saws, polishers, and related equipment highly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in a shop environment.

Location: San Antonio, TX

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday (with occasional Saturdays as needed)

Reports to: Shop Supervisor / Operations Manager
