Bookkeeper (Accounting)
Location: Everett, MA | Work Type: In-Person | Pay: $60,000 to $85,000 per year
Schedule: Monday to Friday, general hours between 8 and 5 with slight flexibility | Team: Reports to the Controller on a small accounting team

Cumar is hiring a Bookkeeper who enjoys accurate work, steady ownership, and close collaboration with operations. You will handle core accounting with a small, supportive team in office. If you like clear processes, responsibility for details, and partnering directly with a Controller, this is a strong fit.
- Visible role with direct access to the Controller

- Accounts Payable: enter and code bills, manage approvals, schedule payments, maintain vendor records
- Accounts Receivable: generate invoices, apply cash receipts, monitor aging, coordinate follow ups with project leaders
- General Ledger: post journal entries, support month-end close, reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Credit Cards and Bill Payments: process payments, maintain documentation, track spend by project or department
- Insurance and Compliance: coordinate insurance purchasing or COIs for specified jobs and keep records organized
- Process Improvement: keep SOPs current and suggest refinements that improve accuracy and speed
- Solid bookkeeping experience handling AP, AR, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Proficiency with accounting software and strong Excel skills
- Background in construction or manufacturing is preferred, not required
- Clear communication, high attention to detail, and reliable follow through
- Comfort working 100% on site and partnering with a small team
