Countertop Field Measurement Technician – Templator

We’re hiring a Field Measurement Technician – Templator to perform laser-based templating for custom countertop projects across kitchens, baths, bars, and more. You'll be the face of the company at job sites—ensuring each project starts with precision and professionalism.
This is a full-time, field-based position. You'll travel directly from your home to job sites (no daily reporting to the shop), and a company vehicle is provided.
- Travel daily from your home to customer sites for field measurements
- Review project details with clients and explain the templating process
- Verify job site readiness (e.g., level cabinets, available sinks/appliances)
- Use digital laser templating tools (LT 2D-3D, Prodim Proliner, or similar) to create accurate digital files
- Use tape measures for verification and note potential install challenges
- Take job site photos and upload DXF files into the company’s tracking system
- Provide installation suggestions when needed and communicate any concerns to the office team
- Participate in team training and attend required meetings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Customer-focused mindset and professional communication
- Ability to work independently and stay organized in the field
- Willingness to learn and grow with new tools and techniques
- Experience with digital templating systems (Preferred, not required—training provided!)
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–2 years of experience in templating, countertop installation, or fabrication preferred
- Background in remodeling, construction, or a trade-related field highly desirable
- Comfort reading blueprints and using hand/power tools
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Able to pass background checks for national retailer badge access (Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc.)
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet
- Field-based role with daily travel to construction and residential job sites
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- Exposure to varying weather and construction site conditions
